Tips for electric AEG rifles (Automatic Electric Guns)

  • Charge the battery fully before use: Make sure the battery is fully charged before you head out on a game day.
  • Use the correct type of battery: Ensure you are using the correct type of battery (f.eks. NiMH or LiPo) that fits your AEG device.
  • Store batteries properly: Do not leave the batteries in the weapon after playing. Store them separately for safety.
  • Shoot in short bursts: Avoid holding the trigger for too long. Shoot in short bursts to prevent the motor from overheating.
  • Avoid emptying the magazine completely: If the magazine empties while you are shooting, it can increase wear on the gears.
  • Use quality BBs: Avoid cheap or poor-quality BBs that can jam or damage the barrel.
  • Clean the barrel regularly: Use a clean cleaning rod to keep the barrel free from dirt and debris.
  • ¨Store AEG safely: When you're not using AEG, make sure to store it in a dry and safe place.
  • Keep the battery contacts clean: Dirty battery contacts can lead to poor performance or short circuits.
  • Avoid shooting in the cold: Cold can negatively affect battery performance, so try to avoid using AEG in extremely low temperatures.
  • Be mindful of moisture: Avoid playing in heavy rain, as electrical components can get damaged.
  • Shoot individually in close combat: For better precision at short distances, use semi-automatic mode.
  • Charge the battery after use: After a day of playing, charge your batteries so they're ready for the next game.
  • Balance magazine capacity: Choose magazines with a capacity that suits your playing style. Hi-cap magazines can be noisy, while mid-cap allows for quieter movement.
  • Pre-game Test: Always test your AEG before hitting the field to avoid unexpected issues.
  • Be Careful with LiPo Batteries: If you're using LiPo batteries, make sure you have the right charger and that you don't overcharge them.
  • Avoid Completely Draining LiPo Batteries: LiPo batteries can get damaged if completely drained. Charge them before they hit the minimum level.
  • Use BBs of the Right Weight: Try different BB weights (f.eks. 0.20g or 0.25g) to see what works best with your AEG.
  • Bring Extra Batteries: Always have an extra battery on game day, especially if you plan to play all day.
  • Take Breaks to Avoid Overheating: After long periods of play, give the motor in your AEG (and yourself) some rest to avoid overheating.
For electric AEG-weapons, it's important to maintain the batteries, use the right type of BBs, and avoid overheating by shooting in short bursts. Proper cleaning, storage, and battery handling will extend the life of your AEG and ensure consistent performance on the field.
