Tips for gass- eller CO2-drevne airsoftpistoler

Tips for gas or CO2-powered airsoft pistols

  • Use the right gas: Make sure to use the correct type of gas (f.eks. Green Gas or CO2) that fits your gun.
  • Lubricate the gun regularly: Use silicone oil to lubricate moving parts to prevent wear and ensure smooth performance.
  • Avoid overfilling the magazine: Do not fill the magazine too much with gas, as this can damage the valve or seals. Keep gas magazines clean: Clean and lubricate the magazine valves regularly to prevent leaks.
  • Use gas with silicone: Some gases contain silicone, which helps to lubricate the gun while you use it.
  • Avoid using CO2 in cold weather: CO2 can be negatively affected by low temperatures and provide inconsistent performance.
  • Store magazines properly: Keep gas magazines half full when not in use to protect O-rings and seals. Test shots before starting a match: Shoot some test shots to check that the gas flows correctly before the match.
  • Avoid using the gun in extreme heat: Gas can expand in extreme heat and damage internal parts.
  • Clean the barrel: Keep the gun's barrel clean for better accuracy and performance.
  • Avoid dry firing (shooting without BBs): Dry firing can damage valves and other internal parts.
  • Use the right BBs: Just like with AEGs, it's important to use high-quality BBs to avoid damaging the gun.
  • Check for leaks: If you suspect a leak in the magazine, check the valves and use silicone oil to fix minor leaks.
  • Keep the grip dry: Make sure to keep the gun's grip dry for better control.
  • Let the gun rest after shooting: Give the gun time to warm up after intense shooting, especially in warmer colder weather.
  • Ensure proper storage: Store the gun in a dry and secure place when not in use.
  • Don't leave gas magazines in the sun: Direct sunlight can increase the pressure inside the magazine, which can damage it.
  • Avoid using the gun too harshly: Gas guns can be more sensitive to rough use than AEGs, so handle them with care.
  • Fill the magazine with the gas bottle upside down: When filling the magazine with gas, hold the bottle upside down until you hear it no longer takes in more gas.
  • Keep the seals in good condition: Regularly lubricate the magazine seals with silicone oil, including the bottom, top, and valve.

For gas and CO2-powered guns, it's about using the right gas, regularly lubricating with silicone oil, and being mindful of temperatures to avoid leaks and damage.
