The Deringer model was especially popular among travelers, officers, and others who wanted a small, easily concealed percussion pistol. Over time, the name “derringer” became a general term for small, single-barrel pistols, but the Denix model recreates the original by Henry Deringer of Philadelphia as it was around 1850.
