When is 11.1V best suited?
11.1V Li-Po (3S) batteries are often used in AEGs where you want maximum response and a “snappy” feel, especially in setups with an electronic trigger/unit (such as a MOSFET/ETU), or where the gun is otherwise configured to handle 11.1V. This is a popular choice for more performance-oriented players who want a noticeable boost in response compared with 7.4V.
Important: 11.1V puts more strain on the system than 7.4V. It is best used in guns designed for 11.1V, or those upgraded with suitable electronics and internal components.
T-plug (Deans) – low resistance and a secure connection
T-plugs offer lower resistance and more efficient power delivery than many standard plugs. This can provide better response, less loss at the contact point, and a more secure connection. Perfect when you’re choosing a battery that can deliver more power.
3-stick form factor – designed for tight battery compartments
The 3-stick design makes it easier to fit the battery into many rifles with limited battery space. Its slim, divided shape often fits well in stocks and other battery compartments where larger batteries can be bulky.
Important Li-Po guidelines
- Don’t completely drain the battery: Stop using the battery when you notice the rate of fire dropping.
- Always use a Li-Po charger with balancing: Li-Po batteries must be charged with a suitable balance charger (3S/11.1V).
- Charge before first use: New Li-Po batteries should always be fully charged with a balance charger before use.
