Snowpeak / Artemis Mercury Compact AP900 – The ultimate tactical lightweight PCP air rifle with built-in regulator
Are you looking for an air rifle that delivers the performance and precision of a full-size PCP rifle, but in a much more compact, easy-to-handle, and mobile platform? The Snowpeak AP900 (also known as the Mercury Compact) is a brilliantly designed compressed-air rifle built for maximum functionality. With its extremely low weight, tactical AR-15 ergonomics, and built-in regulator, it’s the perfect choice for everything from casual backyard plinking to serious target shooting!
Workshop insight: What truly sets the Snowpeak AP900 apart from other budget models on the market is its integrated regulator. Unlike unregulated PCP rifles, where the muzzle velocity drops as the pressure in the tank decreases, the AP900’s regulator ensures that every shot receives exactly the same amount of air. This provides an incredibly stable trajectory, improved air efficiency, and repeatable accuracy that you usually have to move into much higher price ranges to find!
Tactical modular design and superior ergonomics
Snowpeak AP900 Mercury Compact is tailored for shooters who value mobility. The unique synthetic skeleton stock features a comfortable rubber buttpad for a secure shoulder fit. The cleverest part is that the stock can not only be folded for transport, but also completely removed via a standard Picatinny interface—without compromising the rifle’s rigidity or stability. The ergonomic AR-15-style pistol grip is made of soft rubber, ensuring a rock-solid and comfortable grip in all conditions.
Thanks to the extensive use of modern, durable synthetic materials and a high-tech, carbon-sleeved 310 mm rifled barrel, the entire rifle weighs an incredibly low 1,868 grams. You can carry this rifle for an entire day at the shooting range or in the field without your arms getting tired.
Endless mounting options and extensive accessories
The rifle is loaded via a classic and reliable bolt-action mechanism and features a 3-way adjustable trigger for optimal control when firing. An easily accessible thumb safety ensures safe and intuitive handling. When it comes to accessories, the AP900 is a dream:
- Top: Full-length Weaver/Picatinny rail makes mounting a scope or red dot sight incredibly easy.
- Fore-end: Equipped with both M-LOK slots and an integrated Picatinny rail underneath for quick mounting of bipods or lights.
- Sides: Additional side-mounted rails provide room for even more tactical accessories.
The air capacity is provided by a compact and slim 118 cc air cylinder with an integrated pressure gauge at the front, so you always have full control over the remaining pressure.
