When using a standard coupling without a one-way valve, you must wait until the compressor has built up full line pressure before opening the cylinder valve to avoid harmful back pressure. With this Best Fittings coupling installed, back pressure is completely prevented. This means you can open the cylinder valve immediately—the one-way valve opens fully automatically the moment the compressor pressure matches or exceeds the pressure inside the cylinder.
The fitting is machined in the UK from high-quality stainless steel, providing exceptional durability and reliability compared with cheaper brass fittings under extreme pressure loads. The coupling is approved for a maximum working pressure of 300 BAR (4500 psi). The filling process is both safer for the equipment and more efficient for the user.
Important procedure when using: Once filling is complete, it is extremely important to bleed the residual air from both sides of the fitting via the compressor/filling station’s bleed valve before disconnecting the equipment.
